Drummer Taylor Moore is as fun to watch ....as well as... to hear!
As a drummer-percussionist, she plays with musical sounds and rhythms like a painter plays with colors! She is creative, entertaining and full of energy!
Taylor mesmerized the audience as she performed last weekend at the Hyde Park Jazz Festival to full audience at The James Wagner Stage on the Midway.
She was also featured in September at the South Side Community Art Center during The Chicago Jazz Festival's Jazz Club Tour. If you haven't seen Taylor... this is a great time to catch this rising performer.
"A lover of all kinds of music, Taylor branched out into Jazz in her sophomore year of Kenwood Academy high school. She was identified as a gifted percussionist and was the first female drummer in the Ravinia Jazz Scholars program in the Chicago Public School system. Taylor was also the first female drummer selected to perform as a part of the Illinois Music Educators Association Jazz combo.
A recent college graduate, Taylor received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and Production from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on May 15, 2011."
