Bronzeville Houses of Worship Book by Photographer, Denise Donald

The beauty and history encompassed in these buildings tell the story of a neighborhood as well as the story of Chicago.

Photographer, Denise Donald spent months chronicling the churches, kingdom halls, all-around faith centers and historic places located on the streets, blocks, boulevards and avenues of the Bronzeville community located on Chicago's south side using the medium of digital photography.

Her vision is to publish a book as a historical marker of places of worship in Bronzeville.

Her goal on Kickstarter is to produce an archival quality coffee table book containing the images described above.

Photographer, Denis Donald is the founder of the Bronzeville Historical Society Inc., a not-for-profit organization committed to preserving the heritage of the memories and buildings of one of Chicago's historic neighborhoods.
